VELFAC 200 ENERGY Casement door, 1-leaf
- Available as single leaf.
- Also available as double leaf (see Opening functions).
- The sash stops at 90°.
- Threshold: 15mm, 24mm or 52mm. 15mm threshold available with 54mm or 48mm sash profile.
- Concealed adjustable hinges.
- Available as 48mm triple glazing.
Egress doors – Fitted with an internal handle only.- An espagnolette handle, which has a ventilation position in the striking plates.
- Three-four concealed, corrosion-proof hinges (adjustable when choosing the 24mm threshold).
- The friction arm is made of steel with a grey corrosion proof zinc-aluminium surface treatment.
To hold the door in an open position (calm weather-conditions only):- An espagnolette with a handle-operated brake, which can keep casement doors in a random open position from approx. 10-85° (applicable for doors wider than 850mm and higher than 1950mm), OR
- A standard espagnolette handle combined with an adjustable friction arm, which can hold the casement door open. Casement doors narrower than 851mm or lower than 1950mm always have this solution.
NOTE: The handle-operated brake / friction arm should only be used to hold the door in an open position when weather conditions are calm. In inclement conditions the door should always be closed to ensure damage to the element or brake mechanism is not incurred.
Threshold- 15mm HELO® threshold in a grey hardwearing surface finish or
- 24mm alu/PA threshold or
- 52mm pine threshold with aluminium tread-plate.
- Casement doors are available with 180° hinges, but with this option the door can be no more than 1000mm wide and there may also be restrictions on glass weight.
- The 180° hinge is not possible in combination with the handle operated brake.
- In order to open fully with 180° hinge, the casement door should be set back by a maximum of 50mm from the facade.
- Ventilation: Adjustable friction arms are not designed for use in windy conditions. In such conditions the door should be closed or otherwise secured.
- Installation: Requires a minimum distance of 10mm for the sealant between frame and wall. If sidehung sashes are hinged next to each other, a gap of 15mm between frames is required.
