VELFAC Aluminium door - Remote access door with electric strike (type 3)

Door functionality
The lever handle is positioned on the inside, the handle operates the latch which means that you can leave the building providing the deadlock is released by pressing the handle. The deadlock is used to secure the building if needed.

From outside, a third party is likely to install remote access (Key fob/number pad) the electric strike will operate only when the remote access is triggered.

To secure this door overnight, it must be locked manually on the deadlock.

Note – If the deadlock is activated (via the cylinder only) then the door has no function other than being secure – to enable the electric strike to work again the deadlock must be in the open position.

The aluminium remote access door is designed for installation where controlled access is necessary.
Typical situations include restricted entrances to commercial or residential buildings.
Electric strikes are used in combination with a deadlock and latch.
When activated by the remote access device (not supplied), a portion of the strike retracts allowing the door to open without operating the latchbolt.
The strike plate can be retained in an open position for daytime use by using a small catch, or the door secured in a locked position by operating the deadbolt using the thumbturn cylinder.

The door is made of thermally broken aluminium profiles and can be divided by one or more glazing bars, with the resulting apertures glazed or panelled in aluminium.
The door can be installed as either single or double leafed and outward or inward opening.
Available with 24mm double or 48mm triple glazing.
The door can be coupled with VELFAC windows to create glazed entrance screens for receptions or atria.
